Million Dollar Bash

 MORE GAMES TO PLAY

GAMES

What would a theme party be without some related games with goodies as prizes?

Here are some ideas to put a Dylanesque spin on some old favourite party games.

Pin The Harmonica on Bob Dylan

Find a cartoon or picture of Bob Dylan without a harmonica. Or even better - draw your own!

Enlarge it to go on the wall.

Make a good sized harmonica picture with a pin, tape or tack on the back.

Blindfold guests, spin them and see whether they can get the harmonica close to the correct place!

Musical Chairs

The same as the old kids' party favourite, but played to loud Dylan tunes.

Rambunctious in the extreme (if done right).

Try it blindfold for even more fun!

Pictionary or Charades

Use the titles of Dylan songs and have your guests in teams to silently draw or act out their clues. No talking or writing allowed!

A full list of titles can be found on Bob Dylan's official website here

One, Two, Bob...

This is a game that sounds simple, but can get tricky (especially in the convivial and jovial atmosphere of a party!).

To play, guests form a circle. Choose a person to start.

The object of the game is to count from 1 to 100, with each person taking turns to say one number.

HOWEVER... if the number is a multiple of 3, the person says 'BOB'. If the number is a multiple of 4, the person says 'DYLAN'. If the number is a multiple of both 3 and 4 the person says 'BOB DYLAN'.

Therefore, counting to twenty would  be:

One, two, Bob, Dylan, five, Bob, seven, Dylan, Bob, ten, eleven, Bob Dylan, thirteen, fourteen, Bob, Dylan, seventeen, Bob, nineteen, Dylan...

Anyone who makes a mistake is out and the game starts again from one. Last player standing wins.

The Alphabet Game

Guests form a circle. Choose a person to start.

The first person has to think of a word beginning with 'A' that describes or is related to Bob Dylan.

They might choose 'artist'.

The second person says the first word and then adds a word beginning with 'B'... say, 'Band'.

The third person says, 'Artist, Band...' and adds a word beginning with 'C'.

The trick is to remember all the preceding answers before adding your own. By the 26th addition it gets pretty tough!

And if you can't think of a word for 'Z', well...
